<p>Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is a credit-linked subsidy scheme aimed at generating employment opportunities by supporting new micro-enterprises in rural and urban areas. The scheme provides financial assistance through bank-linked loans and margin money subsidy for eligible applicants to start new business or micro-enterprise activities.</p>
<p>Applicant should generally be 18 years or above. The scheme is intended for eligible individuals and certain eligible organizations/entities as per current PMEGP guidelines. The applicant must meet the prescribed educational requirement for projects above the specified project-cost threshold. Assistance is generally for setting up new eligible micro-enterprises. Existing units that have already received certain government subsidy benefits may not be eligible under the applicable rules. Applicant must satisfy the latest PMEGP guidelines and bank requirements.</p>

<p>1. Visit the official PMEGP online application portal. 2. Register as a new applicant and fill in the required personal details. 3. Enter the proposed business or project details. 4. Upload the required documents and project report. 5. Submit the application online. 6. The application is reviewed by the concerned implementing agency. 7. Eligible applications are forwarded for bank appraisal and loan processing. 8. After approval and completion of the required formalities, the applicant can proceed with the project as per the applicable PMEGP guidelines.</p>
